UCLA’s College of Letters and Science supports 98 undergraduate majors that are housed in departments and interdepartmental programs (IDPs) within four divisions, and an individual major that is offered within the fifth division (Undergraduate Education).
Historically, capstone requirements in the College have been less common than they are in UCLA’s Professional Schools and Institutes for Interdisciplinary Instruction. However, across divisions, there are increasing opportunities for students to engage in research, writing, service, and other creative endeavors that culminate their UCLA undergraduate experience.
